Looks brilliant mate, how is it performing?

Well, car is still in garage.. So test drive will be soon, maybe in next week? It has to be drive in, because piston rings + 4 piston, + all bearings, etc is new and block is honed..

What i run it in to my garage, i have got my old 4,6 stage 3 (approx 300hp) fuel maps with my ecu and it will run very clean.. If i touch to gas pedal, its almoust DIE.. Laughing if i slightly press the pedal, it will rev quite good.. but if i press slighly agressive it will die.. Very Happy So i hope it will produse more power.. Question

Ecu need remapping quite a bit..

Good news..

I just drive about +80km and slightly punish the engine.. 1 gear approx 2500-4500rpm no grip at all.. Very Happy 2nd gear approx +3000rpm when change gear 1st to 2nd.. no grip.. Very Happy i do this test 4 times, because i cant believe it.. it will burn out my 255/45-17 tyres in 2nd gear in dry asphalt ..
Very Happy Laughing Shocked
so the torque is HUGE.. Rolling Eyes

With my old engine stage3 4,6 if i try to burn out those tyres in 2nd gear it only says WIU and then it will go ahead.. Very Happy

ready to go..

Bad news..

Had some technical proplems with the engine.. Loose some oil pressure, about ½ what it shoul be..
So call to Je-engineering if they can solve my proplem, but no.. they say that 2kg is good pressure..
So i call to V8-developments, they say that your firs cam bearing is out of place.. So i chek it, and they know what they spoke.. Cam bearing is out of place.. So i fit new bearing and but some loctite in it, and now it is working again.. approx 4kg max oil pressure when engine is hot..
Cam bearing "failure" is very rare, but not ungnown..

+ slightly better news.. My Helix motorsport clutch is slipping slightly if i try to burn out tyres in 2nd gear if i have got my friends in my car.. If i drive alone clutch dosent slip..
Rimmer quoted it will handle 540Nm ot torgue.. Laughing And Helix quoted 410Nm.. With my old 4,6 engine (Lehto`s engine now) witch has got over 440Nm (i think 470Nm with latest mods) of torgue it dosent slip at all.. Very Happy
I hope that i have got over 550Nm now..
So i have to buy new clutch kit.. Very Happy
I´m trying to find sasch/bmw M5 performance clutch kit witch can handle 600Nm of torque at organic plate..

Some technical proplems again..
Head gasket failure (220psi/15kg compression pressure on each cylinder when engine is gold, so hot pressure would be 16kg or more? too mutch?)

New performance cam, old kent M228 is too mild. New V8 developments M238 sound slightly better, rought idle + bulls like train.. Laughing Big bang
when revs rise.

+ some good/bad news. I have got carb model fuel tank, and i have got Range rover efi fuel pump inside the tank approx 2l/hour + high pressure pump ouside the tank approx 3l/hour @ 3,8bar.
Now fuel pressure drops approx 0,8bar when revs are 5000rpm (normal pressure 3,8bar and it will drop to 3bar when revs are approx 5000rpm or more.) So my engine run slightly/too lean. Injectors (315cc@3bar "350cc@ 3,8bar") are fully 100% open when revs are +5000rpm.
So i have to modify my fuel system to get all potential to my engine.
Very Happy (sen e-mail to RPIV8 and ask Efi fuel tank, if i can get one, then i can use only my high pressure fuel pump)

I dont have any proplems with my fuel system with my ex 4,6 stage 3 engine. So i hope i can get some serious power readings someday?

324hp at flywheel @ 4970rpm.
approx: 150hp @ 5200rpm, yes 150hp at flywheel.. 6000rpm dead like frozen fish, power curve drops like stone (straiht downwards) above 5200rpm.. hard to say because 5200rpm is approx last numbers, because it will run ultra super lean above 4500rpm 345cc@ 3,5bar injectors are 100% (fully) open above 4500rpm. Fuel pressure drops 3,8 bar to approx 2.8bar above 4500rpm ..

Torque 440Nm @ 1500rpm, 520Nm @ 3280rpm 460Nm@ 4970rpm, then it will drop like stone..

I dont do any adjustments, because it will run too lean, so torque maybe be grow if adjust some fuel maps and ignition timing..

Hope to get over 350hp when i can get EFI fuel tank and fit new pump to my SD1.

That thing sounds very very evil Cool Laughing

Sounds better in your car, than when in RPI Morgan, but it made less power in the RPI Morgan Laughing

You have done a great job, get the fuelling fixed and im sure you will see 350bhp + Cool

I love it, well done, must be great fun to drive.

And what does your torque figure convert to in lb ft??

You have to divide Nm to 1,36 = lb/ft. Excample 520Nm : 1,36 = 382,35lb/ft Cool Laughing i think it is quite good reading without any adjustment (only road/my own ass dyno) Very Happy I hope to get better reading´s when i start to adjust fuel maps and ignition timing on dyno, next summer..

Start to spend some money.. Hope those will give +370hp and +560Nm.. Very Happy And rev over 6000rpm without proplem..

John Eales: Steel billet flywheel, weight approx 7,8kg.
Sasch (SRE) BMW M5 race clutch, it will handle (at least) +600Nm with organic clutch plate.
