Hi all, I have to remove my front disks to get them machined as there is a lot of vibration coming through the steering wheel under heavy braking. It's failed its WOF because of this....anyway, removed the wheel and I notice that there's only one brake pipe going to the caliper (isn't there supposed to be two?) and also noticed there's only one bleed nipple - yet the supplement in the Haynes manual indicates there are 3 bleed nipples.
It's definately a 4 pot caliper, so not sure what it's off? If it's non standard does that mean the disk could be non standard as well - I can just imgaine the hassle of trying to get a replacement if the disks aren't standard and there's not enough meat left to machine them!!

Aha - thanks Ged. So it may be standard after all.... I can see where the second brake pipe might have been though as the bracket for it is there. Would there have been a bracket for a second line when they were doing single line 4 pot vented disks? The single pipe is one of those stainless braided ones.

Hi kiwi_sd1,
I'm not sure. Maybe Rover were using up old stock at the time but I think it is unusual to have the double bracket. Has the inner wing also got two holes or just the one?
Ged
